Permissions and Reprints

Thank you for your interest in reprinting poetry first published in book form by WordTech Communications LLC. Here we outline our guidelines for reprinting or disseminating work first published by us. Reprinting any work first published by us requires acknowledgement, and some uses require formal permission and a reprint fee.

Uses of Poems Not Requiring Formal Permission

The following types of use do not require formal permission or fees from us, but do require acknowledgment:

• Posting of up to two poems on a personal website.
• Reprinting of up to two poems in an organization's internal, limited-circulation communications, such as a church newsletter.
• Use of up to two poems in printed or online promotional materials in conjunction with an author event, such as a reading.
• "Fair use" excerpts of work in conjunction with a journalistic or critical focus, such as a news feature, review, or scholarly article/book.
• Reprinting of individual poems by the author in a subsequent book-length work by the same author, such as a volume of selected poems.
• Reprinting of up to two individual poems in an artistic or literary project that will not charge a fee and is not intended to generate revenue for the sponsoring organization.

Uses of Poems Requiring Formal Permission and Fee

To ensure that our authors and the press are appropiately compensated for commercial re-publication of their work, the following types of use require formal permission and a fee, as well as acknowledgment:

• Reprinting of one or more poems in an anthology, journal, or textbook intended for sale.
• Use of one or more poems in an artistic project, such as music or visual arts, where admission will be charged or where the project is intended for sale.
• Reprinting of one or more poems on a website that is commercial in nature.
• Any other project that is primarily commercial in nature, where fees will be charged, or which is intended to generate revenue for the sponsoring organization.

Please note: Fees are negotiable depending on the scope of the project and your budget, but if you are charging for your project, then so will we. Please do not request free permission for a commercial project because it will not be granted.

Acknowledgment

Acknowledgements should look like this:

"Title of Poem" from Title of Book by Author's Name, published in Year by WordTech Imprint, Cincinnati, Ohio.
